Welcome, Quilt friend!
I made this space as an additional resource for our weekly Yin classes on Quilt. In this space, you’ll find suggestions for how to continue the work we do inside of yin, playlists I use, ideas for tools and resources you can use to deepen your practice of this ancient tradition.
Yin is a yogic asana practice designed to help us slow down. It is about the yin tissues of the body (joints, bones, tendons, ligaments, fascia), and about tending to the cooler, darker side of ourselves.
I’ll add to this space as time goes on, and as folks have particular needs or desires.
Post Class Ritual Bath
Take time to create space for yourself in your bathroom. If you’ll be playing music, can you make a playlist and connect a speaker so your phone can be out of the bathroom? Can you dim the lights? Can you communicate with folks in your space that you’re taking time to yourself, and ask not to be disturbed?
Pour 1 cup of salt into your bathtub. It can be super fancy salt from a bougie company, or table salt from your kitchen.
Fill your tub with hot water.
Optional: if you enjoy practicing with essential oils and your skin tolerates their use, add in oils of your choosing (see below for specific suggestions after each class, if available),
